Days of the Dead: Atlanta – Join ‘Friday the 13th Part 2’s Warrington Gillette for a Special Makeup Tutorial!

Days of the Dead, a by the fans, for the fans convention, announced today a very special opportunity centered around the original actor who first portrayed “adult” Jason Voorhees.

The nationwide convention shared news of the addition of the House of Indie Horror to all shows. This track of events, curated by independent filmmaker Brooklyn Ewing, showcases filmmakers, artists, actors/actresses, and performers. It offers instructional filmmaking panels, Q&A Sessions with up and coming directors and talent, live podcasts, classes with artists, and more!

The House of Indie Horror announced the inclusion of Friday the 13th Part 2 actor Warrington Gillette to the lineup for Days of the Dead: Atlanta, taking place from February 7th-9th, 2020, at the Sheraton Atlanta Hotel.

Gillette, best known for playing “Jason Voorhees” in select scenes in Friday the 13th Part 2, will be getting back into his Voorhees makeup for a photo opportunity with fans, as well as a very special makeup application demonstration with SFX makeup artist Tom Devlin!

Devlin has been working professionally as a special effects makeup artist since 2001. Through his company 1313FX, Devlin has provided creature and fx makeup on over 100 feature films. In addition to his film and television work, Tom created a line of Halloween masks for Haunted attractions, and Trick or Treat Studios. In 2011 Tom Appeared on the SYFY reality TV series “Face Off”. Devlin opened two attractions in Nevada, Tom Devlin’s Monster Museum and Dinosaur Adventure. He is currently working with Full Moon Features on various new films in their lineup.

This Makeup Application Demonstration will be offered as part of the House of Indie Horror lineup for Atlanta, and more details will be released about the photo op with Gillette, and the makeup session. For tickets and more information, you can head over to the official website.
